The Citadel came highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. The ruin is dramatically positioned on a prominent point at the end of a ridge guarding the valleys below. A narrow causeway separates the The Citadel from the rest of the plateau. The ruin's position as the perfect observation point for anything approaching the valley seems like the reason for the placement of the ruin, though as a defensive position it's hard to think of anything better. The causeway and and the position of the ruin are what makes The Citadel so cool.

There is a fair bit of exposed scrambling to get down to the causeway (one on the causeway the going is easy).
