Trip Report [hide]

The original plan was to climb Flying Dutchman, climb over the top of The Beaver, rapp into The Notch, then climb up Stepladder to the summit of Longs.

However, I felt like garbage from the get-go and thus was really slow. By the time we topped out from Flying Dutchman it was already pretty late and the weather was a bit dodgy. We decided to bail down The Loft.

Snow conditions in Flying Dutchman were good - nice and hard styrofoam snow. The crux of the couloir consisted of about a 20 section of waterfall ice that we protected with screws and a couple of cams.

Good times.
