Trip Report [hide]

There were eight of us from brutestupidity.com on this trip so I thought I might not really get much quality climbing in. Nevertheless I totally got my fill getting in total of four laps.

The ice was in much better condition than I'd ever experienced before - beautiful plastic ice. The sticks were awesome - not the usual flailing into bullet hard ice that I'm used to - it was like butta. Not only was the ice awesome - but I also had my new Grivel Rambo IV crampons fresh from the box. These two things combined embiggened my courage and after toproping both flows I then proceeded to lead them! It felt really, really great to finally get that first water ice lead under my belt. I can't wait to do more.
